MONACO YACHT SHOW SET TO RETURN IN 2021 - Royal Yacht International

It is official…The Monaco Yacht Show is coming back in 2021 – completely redesigned, stronger and even more exclusive!

Earlier this week, the organisers of the Monaco Yacht Show announced that the 2021 edition will take place between 22-25 September and will adopt a “quality over quantity” approach, resulting in an exclusive show that places the “final superyacht client” at its heart. Apart from efforts to encourage newcomers, to better identify and attract high-quality visitors,  the new plan also aims to improve the connection between exhibitors and attendees.

Here are the changes you can expect if you are planning to attend Monaco Yacht Show this year:

Custom visitor badges

One of the biggest upgrades this year will be the new style of registration and processing of visitors. Attendees will need to register in advance for one of the three different badges in order to separate superyacht clients from advisors and trade visitors. While trade visitors and industry attendees  such as designers and yacht managers will have named “Advise” or “Connect” badges, yacht clients will be assigned anonymous VIP “Discover” badges granting them full access to the four-day yacht show.

Private dockside exhibition

No more crowded and busy docks! The dockside area will be reserved on the first day for yacht clients and trade visitors only, allowing potential superyacht buyers and charterers private audiences to meet with shipyards, brokers and designers in a more intimate space. The dockside area will be open to all attendees for the rest of the show.

A pandemic-proof show

Apart from strict and safe measures such as social distancing, track and trace, PPE and on-site screening, organisers will guarantee a full refund to exhibitors unable to attend due to unavoidable travel restrictions.

New VIP entrances

In order to deliver the best experience for VIP guests, the show will be adapted with two new entrances and meeting areas designated exclusively for them. For the ultimate comfort, courtesy cars will drop the guests off right at the VIP entrances featuring a relaxation lounge with a concierge. A perfect place to have a glass of champagne away from the crowds before being escorted by your RYI broker to visit yachts.

New exclusive partnerships

From private clubs and luxury hotels to big names in jewellery and couture, the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show intends to focus on developing new and rewarding partnerships to help get the right people in front of the industry come September.

New design and innovation hub

The 2021 edition will feature a brand new design and innovation hub, where guests will find activities, talks and demonstrations focusing on anything from adventure and exploration to design and sustainability, and will act as a way to connect would-be buyers with all the possibilities related to the yachting lifestyle.
